Walks in the palm grove
From Dar Qamar, for half a day or a day (with picnic), our guide will make you discover the gardens of the palm grove, the alleys of the old ksar and the magnificent kasbahs full of history.
The ancient capital of the region is located 8km from Dar Qamar. Accompanied by a guide, you will walk in the paths in the middle of the fields of wheat or alfalfa sheltered by the palm trees. When you arrive at Tamnougalt, after a picnic, you will visit a magnificent restored kasbah. Return by cab in the afternoon.
About twenty kilometers from Dar Qamar, in a canyon in the middle of the mountains, nestle the waterfalls of Tizgui, a haven of peace and freshness. A cab will take you to the end of the tarmac and you will continue on foot along the Draa River to the waterfalls accompanied by a guide. After a picnic and a swim in the hot season, a cab will take you back to Dar Qamar in the afternoon.
The ascent of Djbel Kissane
This summit which culminates at 1600 m of altitude dominates the whole region. The ascent is not technical but requires a good physical condition (about 3 hours of ascent). But once up there, a splendid 360° panorama awaits you. After a picnic, it is necessary to think of going back down in the valley. A cab can take you to the foot of the Djbel and pick you up or you can also make the whole trip there and back on foot.
Mountain bike ride in the palm grove
For half a day or a day with a picnic, accompanied by a guide or alone, you can hike quietly or in a more sportive way on the multitude of paths which cross the palm grove.
A night in the desert
We propose you several formulas of bivouac in the erg Chigaga and its majestic dunes where you will enjoy the sumptuous sunrise: with your own vehicle until M’hamid, then 4×4 until the bivouac or in 4×4 from Dar Qamar. Camel rides in the dunes.
